In India, generally in the rural areas and in uneducated lot, it is found that the children are devoid of their basic rights to grow as a child.

The poor families tend to force their children in work labour to prop up family earning for their daily necessities. In other words, child labour becomes unavoidable for them. Also, the girl child is thought as a burden in the family only to be married at a certain age or early. Hence, the girl child is devoid of very much needed education. This leads to the menace of child marriage. There is increase illiteracy also poverty in future as the grown up child cannot become self-reliant except for doing unskilled labour work. This is at the cost of temporary earnings of the family, which is felt by them as the need of the hour and conveniently forgetting the right of a child.

Jannshakti Foundation Charitable Trust is trying to bring awareness in such families of Government’s various policies meant for the wellness of the child and the family as a whole.
